Which machines does the AutoBlade Type A fit?

The AutoBlade Type A fits two machines, the Silhouette Cameo 3 and the Silhouette Portrait 2. It is made for those two only, and Silhouette blade models are not interchangeable, so a blade meant for another generation is not a substitute for it. Check which model you own before you order, and if you are not sure, ask Printman over WhatsApp first.

Will this blade work in a Cameo 4 or an older Cameo?

The AutoBlade Type A is made for the Silhouette Cameo 3 and the Portrait 2 only, so it is not the right part for a Cameo 4 or for an older Cameo. Silhouette blade model numbers are not interchangeable across generations, so the model number is the thing to match. If you are unsure which Cameo you own, ask Printman over WhatsApp before ordering.

Do I still have to set the blade depth by hand?

The AutoBlade Type A sets its own depth. You pick the material in Silhouette Studio, and the blade resets and adjusts itself to that setting before the job runs, so the depth is not something you set by hand. That is one step less before every job, and one less thing to get wrong when you switch material.

What materials does this blade cut?

The AutoBlade Type A cuts the everyday Silhouette materials, paper, cardstock, vinyl and light fabric. The blade tip is built to hold a clean edge on all of them, not on one material only. With a stock you have not cut before, pick the closest material in Silhouette Studio and run a small test cut first, because the software setting is what the blade follows.
